Processes in a controlled environment
The worldwide market for fiber optic solutions used in applications that are very sensitive to environmental contamination is experiencing steady growth. Some fields include, medicine, laboratories, space, research, life sciences and industrial. Diamond has responded to this growing demand by creating a new ISO 7 cleanroom (Class 10,000 in accordance with FED STD 209E) in order to supply products and assemblies such as, pigtails, patch cords, adapters and mechanical parts that are cleaned and packaged in a controlled environment.
Processes performed inside the Diamond cleanroom include cleaning, drying, inspecting and packaging. These processes are preceded by a preparation and preconditioning process outside of the cleanroom.
